More About Me
Hello! I am a Los Angeles based voice and dialect coach, teacher, and professional actor. I received my MFA from the University of California, Irvine, where I studied with Knight-Thompson Speechwork co-founder Phil Thompson, and Fitzmaurice Voicework® Master Teacher Cynthia Bassham. I serve on the Knight-Thompson Speechwork Executive Council and as an Executive Presentation Coach for the public speaking and communications coaching company Ignite CSP based out of Asheville, NC.
I have coached many theatrical productions for Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Chautauqua Theatre Company, Roundabout Underground, McCarter Theatre Center, American Players Theatre, The Old Globe, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre and The Village Theatre (Seattle), to name a few; as well as for the pre-Broadway tours of A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical and Ain’t Too Proud. I also coached the short film An Intent to the Spirit directed by Saheem Ali and starring LaChanze and Moses Sumney.
I am excited to be the incoming Head of Voice and Speech for the University of San Diego and Old Globe’s Shiley Graduate Theatre MFA Acting Program where I will be spearheading the voice, speech, and dialect curriculum. I have previously taught for UCSD Graduate Acting Program, NYU/Tisch Meisner Studio, NYU Graduate Acting Program, Atlantic Acting School (Atlantic Theatre Company), American Musical and Dramatic Academy, New York Film Academy, and University of California, Irvine as a graduate teaching assistant. I also received my BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am a Certified teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork and a Certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®. For a full list of credits, please check out my resume and CV.
