Nathan is a NYC & New Jersey based dialect coach, teacher and professional actor. He holds an MFA from the University of California, Irvine, where he studied with Knight-Thompson Speechwork co-founder Phil Thompson.
Nathan has coached productions for Chautauqua Theatre Company, Roundabout Underground, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Keen Company (NYC), George Street Playhouse, as well as the pre-Broadway tour for Ain’t Too Proud. He has directed and dialect coached for Santa Rosa Summer Rep Theatre Festival.
Nathan currently teaches Speech, Dialects and Voice for Mason-Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and Accents and Dialects for NYU/Tisch Meisner Studio. He has previously taught at Atlantic Acting School (Atlantic Theatre Company), American Musical and Dramatic Academy, New York Film Academy, and University of California, Irvine as a graduate teaching assistant. Nathan holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is also a Certified teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork and a Certified Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®.
